#1 The Administrator Account & Brut Force Attacks

Brut force attacks on networks are common place. Hackers focus their attention on cracking the “Administrator” account by using scripts that run various password combination of words and letters until a successful match is made. At Clear Concepts, its our policy to disable the default “Administrator” account on workstations and servers and replace it with an “Unknown User” account with full administrative privileges to thwart any attempts by outside or inside sources to gain unauthorized access.
