The prestigious North-American channel partner collaboration network, VentureTech, announces its newest Canadian member, Clear Concepts, Inc.
Responding to the needs of small to midsize business customers, the VentureTech Network (VTN) was created by distribution giant Ingram Micro in 1998 and has grown to 330 North American members, including 63 across Canada. Conferences take place twice a year where members meet to discuss opportunities, learn about updates and strategies from vendor partners and strengthen the reseller channel. John Fago, Senior Director, Channel Marketing for North America comments, "We're really working to build the community, less around the mass value of what we provide and more about the niche value of what each member is looking for." As a result, "we'll customize VTN around each member's requirements."
According to Phil Proctor, General Manager of Clear Concepts, "VentureTech gives us the opportunity to work alongside the best channel partners that the industry has to offer."
Clear Concepts has already worked extensively with many of the VTN manufacturer partners, such as Lenovo, IBM, HP, Microsoft, VMware, Xerox, Cisco, Intel, and more. What is exciting now is exploring all the added customer benefits through networking with the industry's best and brightest.

The RM of Springfield has undergone a 21st century face lift – launching its new web site Oct. 1.
The web site, www.rmofspringfield.ca, replaces the old site of the same address many visitors found difficult to navigate.
At a cost of just under $6,000, the site was developed by Clear Concepts, a Winnipeg-based company that provides computer support to the municipality.
The revamped site features easier to navigate drop down menus, up-to-date information and a community spotlight feature that allows the municipality to post information on upcoming community events. The new site also provides visitors with more information about the municipality, its staff and services.
Along with pictures from around the municipality, the site also features information on community club programming and contact information, seniors programming and municipal handi-van services.
Information and links to area schools, churches, community events and businesses are also found on the site.
Although not currently available, the municipality hopes to expand the site to accept online registrations for recreation programs as well as payments for programming and municipal fees.

It didn't take much to persuade one suburban IT firm to go downtown.
Not only did Clear Concepts like all the trappings of being downtown -- the nine-year-old firm spent its first two years in leased space above the Chocolate Shop restaurant on Portage Avenue -- but being there also made sense from a business perspective.
They said they moved Clear Concepts out of the downtown seven years ago because the firm had outgrown its space and they couldn't find another suitable location in the area. So they moved to Sherbrook Street, and then to Border Street in St. James. But the intention was always to move back downtown because a number of their major customers were located there, and the central location makes it easier to service clients in other areas of the city.
